About The Position

Texas Sports Academy is an AI-first K-12 school for student-athletes, offering elite academics and high-level athletic development. Students learn in 2 hours a day, freeing up their afternoons for training with former pro and D1 athletes. The school is hiring remote Software Engineers to build educational apps, sports training apps, and AI systems that power its operations. The role involves working across the full stack, building student-facing applications, data pipelines, AI agents, and tools for coaches. Engineers will use AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex daily, with a significant monthly token budget. The position emphasizes owning projects end-to-end, adopting a product mindset, and acting as an engineering generalist comfortable with various technologies including mobile apps, websites, VR, and games. Strong engineering fundamentals, clear communication in English, and a willingness to work hard and grow rapidly are essential. The team typically works 60+ hours per week, including weekends, and compensation is hourly.

  • Experience keeping production stable at scale and shipping systems that prove it.
  • Clear spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness to work hard and grow fast, typically 60+ hours per week, including weekends.
