Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in backend or full stack development
  • Deep knowledge of AWS or other large cloud computing environment
  • Strong distributed systems skills: How to make things fast and scalable, how to measure things (e.g. latency, throughput)
  • Strong operational excellence best practices: Testing, monitoring, paging, and incident management
  • Strong understanding of developing APIs, backend services, databases, data pipelines, data warehousing
  • Built or developed large-scale data processing pipelines and/or large, high-availability dimensional datastores
  • High sense of ownership and a drive to deliver impact in a fast-paced, evolving, ambiguous environment
  • Experience in building projects with good abstractions and clean architecture
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
  • A drive to grow, learn, and master the craft of software development
