About AI & Data The AI & Data organization in Walmart Global Tech is building a platform-first ecosystem that centralizes enterprise data, provides AI control plane, foundations, and delivers intuitive AI solutions for all personas. We are enabling AI at enterprise scale — responsibly, securely, and reliably. About the Team Our team builds intelligent platforms that make associates’ jobs easier, faster, and more fulfilling — from automating repetitive tasks to providing decision support for complex operations. We work directly with business stakeholders to rapidly iterate on agentic solutions that deliver measurable operational impact. We leverage the Element LLM Gateway to safely access state-of-the-art language models while keeping all data within Walmart’s network. What you’ll do: Analyze and translate business requirements into scalable, secure software solutions. Design and build platforms integrating data, content, applications, tools, and AI. Develop maintainable, testable code aligned with performance and security standards. Create automation and CI/CD pipelines, execute testing, defect tracking, and regression validation to ensure high-quality delivery. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks, recommend solutions, and support agile development iterations. What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. 7+ years of programming experience in architecting highly scalable and performant platforms. 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, REST Services, and related technologies and frameworks. Strong knowledge of software design patterns, solution architecture, and scalable distributed systems Experience in Cloud technologies. Experience in agile, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • 7+ years of programming experience in architecting highly scalable and performant platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, REST Services, and related technologies and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, solution architecture, and scalable distributed systems
  • Experience in Cloud technologies.
  • Experience in agile, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
