Senior Software Engineer

Granum•Atlanta, GA
•CA$160,000 - CA$200,000

About The Position

Granum is hiring a Software Engineer 3 (P3) for the LMN Estimates product pod. The pod focuses on helping landscaping and arborist businesses create profitable, winning bids. Working with 2–4 engineers, a Product Manager, Designer, and Test Engineer, you will continuously ship to production and build, improve, and operate critical services end-to-end. You will partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into shipped software, with success measured by customer outcomes. The role emphasizes customer focus, small and low-risk releases, efficient and repeatable engineering practices, simplicity, AI-assisted development, and measurable performance and reliability. The technology stack includes C#/.NET, multi-tenant services, Azure SQL Server, Azure Functions, Angular, TypeScript, Azure, Terraform, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions, LaunchDarkly, and Datadog. Engineers are expected to own operational outcomes, including instrumentation, on-call work, reliability, and learning from incidents. The position offers a defined P3-to-P4-to-P5 career track, a focused engineering organization, and direct connection between engineering work and customer outcomes. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada without company sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Approximately 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience; depth of impact matters more than the number of years.
  • Shipped experience with C#/.NET and Angular or a closely related modern framework.
  • Comfort working with Azure SQL Server and a modern cloud environment.
  • Operational ownership, including comfort with on-call work, instrumentation, and treating reliability as part of the feature.
  • Practical experience using coding assistants and agentic workflows, with the ability to discuss where AI helps and where it hurts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including clear writing, useful reviews, and low-ego disagreement.
  • Curiosity about software, the company, and customers.
  • Systems thinking, including reasoning about latency, consistency, and scale trade-offs and writing design documents to align a pod on difficult decisions.
  • Bias to action, transparency about trade-offs, and accountability for outcomes.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States or Canada without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience shipping AI-enabled features or engineering workflows, with informed opinions about guardrails and evaluation.

  • Enjoyment of collaboratively building practical solutions for users.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product Manager and Designer to shape what gets built and how it is built.
  • Own critical services and improve their reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Build complex systems end-to-end, from design and implementation through shipping and operation.
  • Provide thoughtful code reviews and clear documentation to help other engineers improve.
  • Anticipate failure modes, build guardrails, and follow through on post-incident learnings.
  • Use, improve, and help shape AI-assisted development practices.
  • Instrument shipped software and participate in on-call operations.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to turn customer problems into shipped product.
