About The Position

International Real Estate owns and delivers the technology that enables site selection, store constructing, property management, store asset management, and facilitating maintenance across the enterprise. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to building and evolving highly scalable, data-driven systems that enable business outcomes and improve customer and associate experiences. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles.
  • Strong experience with Java (e.g., Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices).
  • Proficiency in Python for backend development, data processing, or automation.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery and working with large-scale datasets.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, store procedures and query optimization.
  • Experience developing cloud‑based applications (GCP preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
  • Expertise with SQL Store Procedures is must.
  • Expertise with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering business value through technology.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
  • Exposure to data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or analytics platforms.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality full‑stack software solutions using Java and Python.
  • Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and data pipelines with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
  • Develop and optimize analytics and data solutions using BigQuery, including large-scale queries and data models.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and cross‑functional partners to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Participate in system design and architectural discussions, contributing to technical direction and long-term scalability.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, driving root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence.
