About The Position

Join Microsoft's EngThrive Insights team, which builds data products that help tens of thousands of Microsoft engineers work more productively with AI. The team collects engineering signals across the software development lifecycle and partners with stakeholders from individual contributors to executives to translate data into tools and programs that improve AI-led productivity. In this role, you will build and operate data services that help Microsoft engineers improve productivity and help the company ship software faster and with higher quality. The work offers opportunities to deepen expertise in data engineering and dimensional modeling, agentic AI and MCP server development, privacy-by-design metric APIs, and developer productivity frameworks such as DORA and SPACE. You will use AI tools to create developer insights while applying disciplined engineering, validation, and privacy practices. This is a Software Engineering IC4 role. Applicants must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter. The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year. The range for specific work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $160,200–$261,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
