About The Position
The Data Infrastructure team provides a platform that enables decision-making across the company. In this role, you will work on technical problems involving test infrastructure, data frameworks, and compute clusters. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager. The position follows Remitly’s hybrid-work expectations, with onsite work Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional onsite attendance potentially required based on business needs.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 6 years of experience as a software developer.
- Experience building and maintaining data infrastructure, such as compute clusters, metadata catalogs, or data governance systems.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Java or Go.
- Skills in engineering distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data infrastructure and tooling.
- Partner with product managers and engineers across teams to help achieve product goals.
