About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for software engineering. You will be tasked with reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted software engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, and event-driven architectures using Kafka and Flink.

Requirements

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education
4+ years of Java experience, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot
2+ years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development
Deep understanding of Reactive Programming, including WebFlux
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures
Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines
Database expertise with both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS)
2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs)

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
Exposure to LLMs (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts
Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks

Responsibilities

Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering
Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables
Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel
