About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 12-month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in New York, NY. This role is part of a team focused on mission-critical projects for the Capital Market business. The position involves participating in the technical design of all aspects of software solutions, including in-house and external applications, and contributing to the technical vision and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will offer technical expertise in the development environment, technology architecture, and implementation.
Requirements
- 10 years of professional work experience
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar engineering field, or equivalent experience
- Well-versed in C#/.Net and/or C
- Solid knowledge in computer science, math, and proficient coding skills
- Familiarity with the design and implementation of data/message transfer and processing
- Excellent communication skills
- Good teamwork
- Strong work ethic
- Maturity to solve problems directly and independently
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Fixed Income is a big plus
- An active interest in other computing technology and tools
Responsibilities
- Participate in the technical design of all aspects of software solutions for the Capital Market business
- Assist in the technical vision and strategic planning of software solutions
- Provide technical expertise for the development environment, technology architecture, and implementation
- Work with business users and analysts to ensure applications meet specifications and requirements
- Interact with the larger development team to share designs and solutions
