About The Position
Social Finance, LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Seattle, Washington. The role leads development and testing of system components and services, contributes to product architecture, and turns user stories into technical solutions. The engineer delivers highly available, scalable production services, mentors other engineers, supports the technical culture and team growth, generates ideas for new initiatives and technologies, and communicates with project leads, product managers, and software developers. Part-time telecommuting is an option; the position is hybrid, working from SoFi offices in Seattle.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
- Proficiency in software engineering, with practical application across object-oriented programming, infrastructure-as-code, software design, and data structures.
- Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Experience with backend frameworks including Spring Boot and Spring Framework, and the Mockito testing framework.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous integration/continuous deployment tools.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
- Experience in collaborative coding environments using Git, including collaborative design refinement, writing tests, code reviews, and managing pull requests.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or log analytics platforms, including Kibana.
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Temporal.
- Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
