Senior Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure
About The Position
Atoms is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its data intelligence infrastructure team. The team works to derive intelligence from the large volume of data collected through serving restaurants around the world. The role involves building and maintaining software and tools that help data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, and engineers extract insights, provide market intelligence to merchants, and make data-driven company decisions. The engineer will work with product teams on real-time and batch data-processing pipelines, research open-source technologies, and apply relevant findings within the team. The role is based in Atoms’ Mountain View and San Francisco offices and is onsite five days per week.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take initiative to drive results.
- Enthusiasm for learning new codebases and making changes safely and efficiently in large, complex systems.
- Proficiency in Java or Go and experience building high-performance systems.
- Familiarity with Azure and GCP cloud environments.
- Familiarity with deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Background in infrastructure or platform development.
- Experience in real estate, food technology, or related industries.
Responsibilities

- Research new technologies in open-source communities and bring relevant insights back to the team.
