Senior Software Engineer, HIL Infrastructure

Motional•Las Vegas, NV
•$149,000 - $198,500•Hybrid

About The Position

Motional is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Infrastructure team. The role focuses on scaling and automating offboard testing workflows so they are thorough, efficient, and reliable. The engineer will work hands-on with Motional’s HIL infrastructure, physical bench hardware, and autonomous-vehicle software, helping improve infrastructure reliability and scale to accelerate safe autonomous deployment. The position contributes to accessible and representative offboard HIL testing, simulation, and software release processes. It involves working across infrastructure and autonomy teams to meet customer needs, support safe and reliable software releases, and make offboard testing more representative. The role is hybrid, with some on-site HIL work and cross-team collaboration. Working directly on HIL equipment requires knowledge of basic electrical systems and safety.
