About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will build the next generation of the platform. The role involves independently and collaboratively leading software feature development, prioritizing work, communicating clearly, and consistently delivering high-quality software. The engineer will mentor team members and help identify process improvements.

The position partners with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, define solutions, and deliver software throughout the development lifecycle. It evaluates technical approaches for feasibility, requirements, constraints, and long-term maintainability; works with architects on technical designs; and helps improve coding standards and product lines. The engineer also supports teammates through guidance and code reviews, and reports issues that hinder team productivity or product stability.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C# and .NET development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs.
• Experience with high-availability techniques in a database or applicable software environment.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Successful completion of a Health Care Sanctions background check.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, define solutions, and deliver quality software through all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate proposed solutions and technical approaches for feasibility, requirements, constraints, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead work independently and complete assigned tasks correctly and efficiently.
• Work with architects on technical designs.
• Ensure code functions according to specifications and work is completed within the allotted time frame and with high quality.
• Provide direction to team members by answering questions and performing code reviews.
• Suggest ideas and methods to improve coding standards, product lines, and existing procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with people in and outside the scrum team.
• Report issues that hinder team productivity or product stability and help ensure team goals are met.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Mentor team members and help identify process improvements.
