Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5 years of progressive experience in the position or a related occupation.
Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in the following:
Shipping production code in at least one scripting (e.g., Python) and one object-oriented language (e.g., Java).
Exploratory data analysis using SQL.
Processing Experience with digital ad platforms, technologies, and systems.
Distributed computing frameworks: Hive/Hadoop and Apache Spark.
Distributed and NoSql database.
Building REST services in frameworks.
Apache Spark (RDDs, DataFrames, SQL, Analytics algorithms).
Big data processing frameworks and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems.
Data pipeline orchestration systems.
Managed services from cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

Build cutting-edge advertising technology to support and grow a sustainable advertising business.
Work closely with internal and external customers to help them achieve their advertising goals and support them with specialized systems.
Work as a key member of the team responsible for building reporting tools and processes to support advertising on channels such as The Roku Channel.
Establish DevOps best practices including continuous integration and continuous delivery across the advertising organization.
Work closely with engineering teams and cross-functional business partners to build robust reporting solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain efficient large-scale data pipelines to collect and transform rich data using big data.
Own the entire tech stack for performed services, from UI to infrastructure to deployment.
Participate in architecture discussions, influencing product roadmaps, and taking ownership and responsibility for new.
