About The Position

Join an agile, international team of experienced developers and testers from Poland and the UK working on a strategic transformation of the IT ecosystem for a leading travel industry company. The project focuses on designing and building modern, scalable solutions from scratch to replace outdated systems with new platforms built using best engineering practices. The work is organized across four to five agile teams, each focused on a product area, with opportunities to take ownership and collaborate across teams. This is a greenfield development effort rather than legacy-system maintenance. The Senior Software Engineer will design and build new features and solutions, develop and validate Proofs of Concept and technical spikes, and help replace old systems with new architecture. The role includes code reviews, contributing to product architecture and technical direction, and collaborating with senior and principal developers, testers, business analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters. The engineer will also support the team through technical leadership and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

At least 5 years of commercial experience with C# and .NET Core.
Experience with AWS DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
Solid understanding of software design principles and patterns, such as SOLID and DDD, and clean code practices.
Experience creating unit and integration tests; component or contract testing experience is ideal.
Practical experience with databases, including SQL, MongoDB, NHibernate, Entity Framework, or Azure Storage.
Real experience with AI tools.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular 12+, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and Git.
Experience designing new systems or working on greenfield projects.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
Knowledge of cloud solutions, especially AWS and Azure.
Willingness to share knowledge, mentor developers, and participate actively in technical discussions.
Comfort acknowledging gaps in knowledge and working with the team to find solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and build new features and solutions from the ground up.
