About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop highly specialized software for testing subway train systems. This role involves analyzing complex electrical schematics, developing communication interfaces, customizing test stations, and architecting high-performance software solutions. You will also be responsible for debugging test programs, conducting training sessions, and researching AI integration for workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field
- Seven (7) years of experience in job offered or relevant field
- At least seven (7) years of experience with schematic analysis and development of test methodologies
- At least seven (7) years of experience with TestStand, LabVIEW, C#, Python
- At least seven (7) years of experience with Instrumentation (PXI, LXI, and/or GPIB) and instruments like DMM, DAQ, SCOPE, Matrix switching, VNA, Spectrum analyzer, and/or XJTAG
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MCP Server, React, Langchain, Python, OpenAI, and FastAPI for backend development.
Responsibilities
- Developing highly specialized software that tests subway train subway systems including brakes, throttle control systems, radios, automatic doors, lighting, HVAC, and other electronic subsystems.
- Analyzing complex electrical schematics in order to develop test plans that can identify faults to the ambiguity group level.
- Developing communication interfaces to a variety of highly specialized train subsystems and software that emulates train subsystems behavior.
- Customizing and configuring ATS-5000 test stations for each customer’s unique requirements.
- Architecting, designing, and implementing software solutions for complex, high- performance systems in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
- Analyzing schematics and advising engineers on electronic PCB testing methodologies.
- Debugging and fixing issues in test program sets (TPS) and test instrumentation.
- Designing, authoring, and conducting internal and external training sessions and prepare materials for the same.
- Research and development of Integration of AI assisted workflow to increase efficiency and reduce development time of Applications.
- Using MCP Server, React, Langchain, Python, OpenAI, and FastAPI for backend development.
