About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining information management solutions specifically for Navy program requirements. The engineer will apply structured programming techniques to ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, and reliable. Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing data architectures, supporting software integration into existing Department of Navy (DoN) systems, and collaborating with various teams. The position also requires generating documentation, ensuring compliance with DoN standards, troubleshooting technical issues, and participating in on-site meetings and reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining information management solutions.
  • Proficiency in applying structured programming techniques.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing data architectures, data models, schemas, and data tables.
  • Experience supporting integration of software components into existing systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience generating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, configuration management, and software development standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Ability to participate in on-site technical meetings, demonstrations, and reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain information management solutions in support of Navy program requirements.
  • Apply structured programming techniques to ensure maintainability, scalability, and reliability of automated solutions.
  • Develop and optimize data architectures, data models, schemas, and relational/non-relational data tables.
  • Support integration of software components into existing DoN systems and architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, testers, and program managers.
  • Generate and maintain documentation, including design documents, data dictionaries, interface control documents, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with DoN cybersecurity, configuration management, and software development standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in support of operational systems.
  • Participate in on-site technical meetings, demonstrations, and reviews at Webster Field (St. Inigoes, MD).
