About The Position

Clockwork Systems is seeking senior software engineers to design the next generation of network acceleration software. Clockwork.io focuses on Software Driven Fabrics to increase GPU cluster utilization. Founded by Stanford researchers and veteran systems engineers, Clockwork is redefining the foundations of distributed computing. As AI workloads grow increasingly complex, traditional infrastructure struggles to meet the demands of performance, reliability, and precise coordination. Clockwork pioneers a software-driven approach to AI fabrics by delivering cross-stack observability to catch and quickly resolve problems, workload fault tolerance to keep jobs running through failures, and performance acceleration that dynamically routes and paces traffic to avoid congestion. Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• A degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
• Fluency in one or more languages: C, C++, Golang, Java, Python.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Designing, building and scaling large distributed systems in production.
• Service-oriented architectures and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Operating systems (e.g. threads, scheduling, process sync, kernel programming).
• Database builds.
• Networking protocols - NIC architecture and operation is a plus!
• Full stack development.
