About The Position

Erias Ventures is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, sustain, and troubleshoot GHOSTGEM’s software suite of applications. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and free and open-source software (FOSS) products, packages, and libraries. A current Top-Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph, obtained within the past seven years, is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance for this position. Candidates must meet one of these experience and education pathways: a master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and five years of relevant software engineering experience; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and seven years of relevant software engineering experience; or nine years of relevant software engineering experience. Experience must be in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Requirements

One of the following: a master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and five years of relevant software engineering experience; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and seven years of relevant software engineering experience; or nine years of relevant software engineering experience. Experience must be in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Experience using the Linux command-line interface and Linux tools.
Experience developing scripts using Bash or Python.
Recent software development experience using Java.
Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Integration.
Experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd.
Experience with container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
Experience creating Helm charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment.
Familiarity with messaging frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as Bamboo and GitLab CI.
Familiarity with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools, including Ansible.
Experience using Git source control.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
