About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, and maintain high-quality cross platform applications using technologies such as .NET, C#, and C++. You'll lead technical efforts for new feature development, optimize existing features, and ensure applications meet performance, quality, security, and scalability requirements, bringing a deep understanding of cross platform application architecture and UI/UX design principles. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust cross platform applications using modern .NET, C#, and/or C++, with .NET Core for scalable, efficient builds. You will implement and optimize user interfaces, and integrate software modules with hardware, video/streaming systems, and other software systems using SQL/DB management, REST/COM interfaces, and client-server architecture. Designing software architectures for complex, scalable, maintainable features, and documenting them clearly for the team is also a key part of this role. You will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks — responsiveness, memory, CPU efficiency, and video/streaming performance — using profiling and diagnostic tools, and implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior engineers, lead code reviews, and champion ownership of critical technical decisions. Evaluating and introducing new tools, technologies, and AI-assisted development workflows to improve velocity and code quality, and driving initiatives that improve team collaboration and effectiveness are also expected. You will write and maintain unit, integration, and automated UI tests, and partner with QA to debug and resolve defects, participating in continuous integration processes to support frequent, reliable releases. Collaborating with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specs and user stories, and actively participating in agile ceremonies, and justifying priority and design trade-offs during estimation are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cross platform application development using modern .NET, C#, and/or C++, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, performant applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, C#, and C++; WPF experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SQL/DB management, communications protocols (TCP, etc.), REST/COM interfaces, client-server architecture, threading models, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while owning complex technical challenges.
