About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will build and evolve core product experiences for the member platform. This is a high-ownership product engineering role spanning the stack and involving close collaboration with Product, Design, and Operations to ship quickly and iterate based on customer needs. The engineer is expected to use modern AI tools and agent-based workflows to accelerate development, improve code quality, and create product capabilities. The role is suited to engineers who focus on outcomes and treat AI as a core part of software development. The company helps self-employed people manage business incorporation, accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services, while providing access to a community through an integrated platform. It aims to help members achieve financial independence and focus on their work rather than paperwork.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience building and shipping production software in a product-focused environment.
Strong full-stack engineering skills, such as experience with Python, Django, React, or similar modern frameworks.
Track record of owning features or systems end-to-end and delivering measurable user impact.
Experience using AI developer tools, such as copilots, code agents, or custom workflows, to ship faster.
Ability to take a loosely defined member problem and drive it to a shipped solution without waiting for a fully specified PRD.
Product judgment to make sound scope and user experience tradeoffs without a designer in every conversation.
Clear communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical partners.
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI agents and automation into development workflows and product features.

Responsibilities

Own features end-to-end, from defining the problem through building, deploying, and iterating on the solution.
Ship high-quality, user-facing product experiences across frontend and backend systems.
Partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous problems into simple, effective solutions.
Use AI-powered development tools, including code generation, copilots, and agent workflows, to accelerate development and reduce manual work.
Identify and implement AI capabilities in the product when they meaningfully improve the member experience.
Ship continuously, instrument product work, and use customer behavior and feedback to guide subsequent iterations.
Make system design decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability, and own the tradeoffs.
Improve developer workflows using automation, internal tooling, and AI-assisted processes.
Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and approaches; recommend effective options and discontinue ineffective ones.
