Senior Software Engineer - Growth

Sprinter Health•Menlo Park, CA
•$195,000 - $225,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Sprinter Health is reimagining access to care by bringing it directly to patients’ homes. The Growth Engineering team works to help patients use this care by reaching and educating them and making it easier to book appointments. Most appointments are currently booked through outbound phone outreach; this role will help evolve that approach into a product-led motion by bringing booking into the core product and scaling patient engagement. The engineer will build systems and run experiments that affect whether patients receive care. The work spans patient booking, multi-channel outreach, funnel measurement, and experimentation, in collaboration with cross-functional partners. The company describes its work arrangement as hybrid, with office work Monday through Thursday and Fridays as work-from-anywhere days, while also stating that the role is open to remote.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer, including 1–2 years on a growth- or experimentation-focused team.
  • Experience building and iterating on backend systems that support experimentation, messaging, funnels, or activation flows.
  • Experience shipping and measuring experiments that affect core metrics such as activation, conversion, retention, or booking.
  • Ability to use data to identify drop-offs, size opportunities, and prioritize work.
  • Experience collaborating with product, design, data, or operations partners to turn insights into shipped features.
  • Ability to balance speed and impact in a startup or high-growth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience shipping experiments that directly improved activation, conversion, or booking metrics.
  • Comfort owning the full cycle of sizing, building, launching, and measuring.
  • Experience with products where growth is driven through the product, not only outbound channels.
  • Ability to move quickly using data, scrappy tooling, and lightweight experiments.
  • Experience in high-ambiguity, zero-to-one, or product-led growth environments where playbooks did not exist.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship experiments to drive patient bookings, including message-copy tests, outreach-timing tests, and in-product booking flows.
  • Optimize patient engagement across SMS, phone, email, and mail, with a focus on reaching patients who typically do not schedule care.
  • Run brainstorms and sizing exercises to prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Define and monitor funnel metrics to understand drop-off, activation, and conversion.
  • Communicate insights through clear reporting and experiment reviews with cross-functional partners.
  • Test unconventional tactics, such as door-knocking pilots, and simulate outreach volume to match clinical supply and demand.

Benefits

  • Meaningful pre-IPO equity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans fully paid for the employee and dependents.
  • Flexible paid time off and 10 paid holidays per year.
  • 401(k) with match.
  • 16-week parental leave for birthing parents and 8 weeks for all other parents.
  • HSA and FSA contributions.
  • Life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Free daily lunch in the office.
  • Annual learning stipend.
