About The Position

As a senior software engineer, you will report to the CTO and be a core member of our engineering and product team. In this role, you’ll lead complex technical projects, mentor junior team members, improve velocity through better process, shape the engineering roadmap, and help define our engineering culture. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working on complex web applications built with modern tools.
  • Proven track record as a lead developer.
  • Experience with React, Typescript, Golang.
  • Familiarity with libraries such as Tailwind, MUI, Redux (rtk-query), AmplifyJS.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure including DynamoDB, Lambda, Cognito, Cloudwatch, Cloudformation, SQS.
  • Ability to design thoughtful solutions by exploring multiple avenues, carefully weighing edge cases and dependencies.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly.
  • Ability to engage in respectful, constructive debates and collaborate to weigh trade-offs and find balanced solutions.
  • Ability to work smart and hard.
  • Thrive in highly collaborative, in-person environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with our tech stack is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build full stack features.
  • Work on scaling and enhancing our web platform, our flagship product.
  • Oversee the libraries we use, managing the component/design system architecture, and building the most robust testable features.
  • Act as an owner and work with EPD (engineering/product/design) leads to help shape the roadmap.
  • Be responsible for writing technical documentation, setting up infrastructure, and organizing engineering tasks.
  • Balance the short and long term, crafting thoughtful long-term technical strategy and addressing tech debt, infrastructure, and processes (testing, code reviews, CI/CD).
  • Make the engineering team more effective by implementing better processes, refining the interview process, and helping define our engineering culture.
  • Help build the team by interviewing and recruiting more talented engineers.
  • Get involved in other areas such as marketing, growth, and ops.
