About The Position

This role focuses on application and feature delivery, owning scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams. The engineer will manage implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components, operating with a product-driven mindset and aligning outcomes with broader platform, system, and domain objectives. The position involves full software development lifecycle execution, including CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance. It also includes integrating AI agents and ML components, leveraging GenAI tools, and applying object-oriented programming principles. The role requires assisting in converting high-level designs into detailed designs, evaluating trade-offs, and designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems. Additionally, the engineer will engage stakeholders to identify and refine business or user problems, translate pain points into technical requirements, and define metrics for solution success. DevOps and program monitoring are key, ensuring adherence to project milestones and timelines. The role promotes engineering excellence, continuous improvement, team wellbeing, and innovation. Technical ownership, sound judgment, adaptability to change, and effective collaboration are essential. Requirements

  • Designing and implementing web and console applications utilizing .NET6 frameworks.
  • Developing and deploying REST APIs using .NET Core, Swagger Docs, and APIGEE.
  • Programming with object-oriented languages such as C#, Python, VB, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML.
  • Developing Web UI Apps using JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Designing and developing CI/CD pipelines for microservices on platforms such as GitHub, Azure DevOps Services, and Red Hat OpenShift Container.
  • Designing architectures for UI, API, and DB components, adhering to the standards of Microservices and Containerization.
  • Developing automation for unit tests, UI automated tests, BDD tests, and performance tests for web and API applications.
  • Developing strategy for infrastructure engineering, automation, and monitoring.
  • Designing and implementing infrastructure as code (IAC) using Terraform for cloud service providers like Azure and AWS.
  • Designing and implementing RDBMS using Microsoft SQL Server and Non-relational Database using MongoDB.
  • Conducting system administration for Azure DevOps platform upgrades and supporting CI/CD DevOps Pipelines in Azure.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for business and product functionalities in Confluence and Jira.
  • Implementing DevSecOps pipelines for security and vulnerability scans using Checkmarx and Contrast.
  • Developing machine learning models and CI/CD pipelines for big data analytics in retail lending applications.
  • Managing application performance and full-stack monitoring using Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and MonPo Synthetic Monitoring.

  • Conducts code structure reviews and supports ongoing defect management and debugging processes.
  • Integrates AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs to enhance software intelligence.
  • Leverages GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development velocity and innovation.
  • Applies object-oriented programming principles and documentation-based coding practices to ensure modularity, maintainability, and consistency.
  • Assists in converting high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudo code, and functional logic.
  • Evaluates trade-offs and designs scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with Walmart’s standards.
  • Participates in design reviews and ensures the implementation of appropriate design patterns and principles.
