About The Position

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure. This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.

Requirements

• TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance
• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• OR Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Recent software development experience using Rust and Python
• Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools
• Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
• Experience with Message Brokers including Kafka
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with Elasticsearch
