About The Position

Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for an AI-native engineering team within Microsoft Copilot. The team is building a customer-facing platform for developing and operating AI-powered applications and agents at enterprise scale, combining evaluations, automated testing, governance, monitoring, and agent-driven improvement. The platform aims to help customers bring applications and agents into production more quickly and operate them safely, including identifying deployment risks, diagnosing production issues, and supporting safe remediation. The engineer will own customer-facing deployment and operations intelligence capabilities, including risk assessment, trust scoring, and evaluation-based release gates. The role involves building scalable, containerized backend services and agentic testing and evaluation systems that assess release readiness, detect production issues, and guide recovery. The engineer will work with engineering and product teams across Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Cowork, and Dataverse to take capabilities from design through production, emphasizing quality, security, and reliability. The role offers opportunities to deepen expertise in AI evaluation and multi-agent systems, design and operate distributed services at enterprise scale, and develop technical leadership through hands-on ownership. Microsoft describes its mission as empowering every person and organization to achieve more, and emphasizes growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion.
