About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications and systems that support business objectives. This role serves as a technical leader within the engineering team, driving best practices, mentoring developers, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. The Senior Software Engineer collaborates closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and innovation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
6+ years of software development experience.
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
Cloud certifications or other relevant technical certifications.
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and services.
Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Review code and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives.
Implement and maintain security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Document technical designs, processes, and system architecture.
