About The Position

Schneider Electric IT Corporation seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Foxboro, MA. This role involves designing, implementing, testing, and supporting application services in customer-facing applications. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing RESTful APIs, breaking down complex problems into manageable deliverables, and shipping iteratively with measurable impact. The engineer will make architectural decisions aligned with organizational principles, prioritizing simplicity, resilience, and cost awareness, while upholding security and privacy best practices. This role also requires profiling and optimizing application performance (latency and throughput), conducting capacity planning, and implementing improvements for performance and scale, including query optimization. Writing readable, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests, is essential. Collaboration with team members on large efforts and cross-cutting technical concerns, along with employing version control best practices and CI/CD pipelines for testing, releasing, and deploying changes, are also key aspects of the position. This position is remote eligible up to 3 days/week.
