About The Position

Ford’s Vehicle Care Engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, deploy, and scale core services supporting vehicle ownership experiences for Ford and Lincoln customers globally. The role builds the digital backbone connecting customer mobile applications, dealership service systems, and in-vehicle digital displays, with a focus on secure, scalable, high-availability platforms. The engineer owns systems end to end, from architectural design and collaborative whiteboarding through implementation, testing, automated CI/CD deployment, performance optimization, and cloud operations. The role works in an Agile environment with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient, high-performing solutions that improve the vehicle-care experience. The position emphasizes Java and Spring Boot cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform, secure RESTful APIs, microservices, automated testing and deployment, Infrastructure as Code, production observability, and technical leadership. The position is hybrid, with four onsite days per week for candidates within commuting distance of a Ford hub location. Visa sponsorship is provided. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified at hire.
