About The Position

Aerostrat is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building a complete maintenance planning solution for the aviation industry. Our core product, Aerros, enables our customers to plan all the maintenance on hundreds of aircraft in a matter of minutes. Our solution helps customers understand the cost and efficiency of their maintenance operations while giving them the confidence to make data-backed business decisions. Aerostrat’s success to date has been driven by a lean team focused on transforming complex asks into an easy-to-use product. As a senior full-stack software engineer at Aerostrat, you'll play a critical role in expanding our product offerings across the tech stack working cohesively on UX, APIs and infrastructure to ensure we can scale with our customers. As a member of our growing engineering team, you'll need to be a self-motivated, high-impact and driven individual that goes out of your way to learn about and produce the best solutions for our customers. Because our team is so lean, you will have a real opportunity to contribute to the direction of the product and see your ideas make it into production on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Significant experience with C#/.NET and SQL Server databases
  • Significant experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
  • Significant experience with frontend development in HTML, CSS and JS
  • Experience with AngularJS (1.x) or similar frameworks
  • Experience working with build pipelines such as Webpack
  • Experience with WebGL and/or Canvas
  • Significant experience building B2B cloud solutions on Azure or AWS
  • Love learning about and solving real customer problems
  • Care a lot about making an impact on the business since we have such a small team, you'll be shipping important features all the time
  • A self-starter who gets excited about learning and improving anything possible since we are still constantly developing many parts of our engineering stack
  • A positive attitude and communication style because we've learned that excellent written communication and attitude go a long way for a remote team
  • 5+ years of work experience building backend services with C#/.NET
  • 5+ years of work experience building and using SQL databases
  • 5+ years of work experience building single-page app frontends in HTML/CSS/JS
  • 3+ years of work experience building & consuming REST APIs
  • 3+ years of work experience working with Azure or AWS cloud projects
  • 3+ years of work experience building technical designs for other engineers

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace maintenance experience or interest in the aerospace industry
  • Experience building B2B SaaS applications

Responsibilities

  • Learn everything there is to know about aviation maintenance planning through our on-boarding process (so don't worry if you do not have any experience in this industry!)
  • Analyze tough customer problems and come up with great designs that you will turn into efficient backend solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems and well-tested features
  • Design and implement services that are reliable, high-quality, performant, and sustainable
  • Work with our business team to build great user stories and designs from (sometimes) ambiguous requirements or problems
  • Occasionally wear many hats due to our smaller team size, with opportunities to work on everything from design to deployments, or meeting with our customers to build integrations for them
