About The Position

Docusign is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Envelopes team. In this position, you will help build the next generation of Docusign's Agreement Platform. Your goal will be to help build highly scalable, performant, and secure services in an environment with 5 9's availability and bank-grade security. You will be part of a team of great engineers focusing on delivering quality products in the core e-sign, specifically the envelopes and recipients area, with a focus on the new msf services built to expand and modernize the system. You will be a do-er, focusing on the various complex and challenging problems while designing new features, using AI to improve productivity and workflows, implementing solutions for existing problems, and building new solutions with product initiatives. You will also be working to increase the scale and efficiency of the system. You are a hands-on technical expert who will guide and contribute to our development and operations teams to improve the creation of infrastructure solutions that scale with our rapid growth. As a successful senior engineer, you have a flexible attitude combined with an aptitude to learn and share. You are responsible not only for writing quality, scalable code. You enjoy working in a fast-paced agile environment, care about the team's decisions, and are focused on quality-driven development. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional software development experience
• Fluent in at least one core programming language (C#, Java) and its ecosystem
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex, scalable distributed systems
• Operational Experience in performance monitoring, live site monitoring and being On-call

Nice To Haves

• Practical experience in Cosmos
• Experience in building or redesigning DB using PostGresQL on Azure
• Experience with AWS or Azure

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and maintain some of Docusign's highest scale and highest used services
• Design and build highly scalable database and service solutions for new features
• Build the next set of features and Apis to make Docusign a true customer development platform
• Work with world class telemetry systems to work through complex problems and solve them with data
• Guide and mentor other engineers through design and code reviews
• Design and architect with the future in mind. Think through how systems will scale and fail as they grow
• Take complicated problems and break them down in to bite sized pieces, then ship every few weeks to get there
• Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase the teams productivity and efficiency
• Stay current with the latest development best practices and share your findings with the team
