Senior Software Engineer
About The Position
Fontainebleau Las Vegas is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and support scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, C#, .NET, and REST APIs. The role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, user-friendly solutions and advancing the business through innovation and high-impact engineering. The successful candidate will bring technical depth across the stack, take ownership of complex initiatives from design through deployment, and collaborate with product, design, QA, engineering, and business partners. The position participates in the full software development lifecycle and applies engineering best practices, including secure coding, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD. It also includes troubleshooting and resolving application, integration, and performance issues, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to other developers. This role has no supervisory responsibilities. Duties may be added or modified as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional full stack software engineering experience building and supporting production web applications.
- Strong front-end development experience with React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture, state management, and responsive UI development.
- Strong back-end development experience with C# and .NET building secure, scalable REST APIs and service integrations.
- Proficiency with relational databases and data access patterns, including schema design, query optimization, and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with version control and collaborative development workflows using GitHub.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
- Understanding of AI-assisted development and review best practices, including validating generated output, applying secure coding standards, and maintaining human accountability for code quality and correctness.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for maintainable, high-performance applications.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with product, design, QA, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization such as Docker or Kubernetes, and serverless compute.
- Interest in Data Engineering work.
- Familiarity with Python.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React and TypeScript for front-end development and C#/.NET for back-end services.
- Build, enhance, and support secure, scalable REST APIs and service integrations that meet business and technical requirements.
- Lead or contribute to technical design discussions and make architecture decisions that support maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, engineering, and business partners to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
- Apply secure coding, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.
- Use GitHub and related development tools for version control, collaboration, and efficient engineering workflows.
- Use AI-assisted development tools appropriately to improve productivity, while validating generated output for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, and performance issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and constructive code reviews.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be added or modified as necessary.
