About The Position

As a Software Engineer III at Indeed, you will contribute to the development and evolution of software systems supporting core products and services used around the world. You will improve existing platforms and help shape next-generation solutions as Indeed scales globally. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and data partners to turn requirements into well-designed, maintainable software, participate in technical discussions and team design decisions, and continue developing your skills while addressing real-world problems. The position is U.S. remote only.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience; or a PhD with no experience requirement.
Experience building or contributing to large-scale or distributed systems.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals.
Demonstrated ownership and accountability for delivered work.
Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain features and services that support core business workflows.
Contribute to the evolution of existing systems and help prototype and deliver new capabilities.
Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality, reliability, and clarity.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Identify performance and scalability improvements and enhance existing code accordingly.
Share knowledge and provide guidance to teammates through collaboration and feedback.
Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively within the team.
