About The Position

Nuro is a self-driving technology company building autonomy technology for applications including robotaxis, commercial fleets, and personally owned vehicles. The Mapping team uses a machine-learning-first approach to expand geographic capability and develops components across the lifecycle of machine learning models for multiple teams. The Senior Software Engineer will help build reliable, scalable infrastructure supporting robot navigation for logistics and transportation. The role focuses on building and improving high-definition map generation and release pipelines, managing map data workflows, and providing internal users with APIs to access data. The engineer will also improve existing workflows and tools and work with other mapping teams to identify issues and share knowledge. The position offers a base pay range of $193,930 to $291,150 at the scoped level, depending on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. It is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Robotics, or another quantitative area.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: large-scale distributed systems; data storage and processing systems; advanced algorithms using C++ and Python; multithreading; or software performance tuning and optimization.
Ability to efficiently develop, debug, and support new technologies in a changing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to write clean, production-quality code.

Responsibilities

Build and improve high-definition map generation and release pipelines.
Develop scalable workflows to manage first-party and third-party map data.
Develop and manage APIs for internal users to access data.
Improve and refactor existing workflows and tools to increase efficiency.
Work with other mapping teams to identify issues and establish long-term relationships that include knowledge sharing.
