GTE Financial is seeking an initiative-taking, forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer to join their Application Development team. This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting critical applications that enhance the member and employee experience. Requirements

Undergraduate degree is preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
5 to 10 plus years of software development experience.
Experience working across full SDLC.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, QA, infrastructure, etc.).
Strong hands-on coding experience with the ability to design and build solutions independently.
Proven ability to take ownership of work from concept through production support.
Ability to solve complex technical problems and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong experience with: C# / .NET, ASP.NET (MVC/Web API), JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, or similar), HTML, CSS, responsive design, SQL Server / Oracle (T-SQL, PL/SQL), REST APIs, JSON, XML.
Experience with: Entity Framework or similar ORM tools, Microservices architecture, Git / source control, CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or similar).
Fundamental knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support enterprise-level applications across web, mobile, and backend services.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code across all layers (UI, business logic, and data).
Translate business requirements into practical, well-architected technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency and accountability.
Build and maintain integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms (APIs, services, etc.).
Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Contribute to establishing and improving development standards, patterns, and best practices.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and maintainability.
Share knowledge with team members and help improve overall team capability.
Provide input on technical decisions, architecture, and solution design.
Help identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
Design scalable and reliable solutions aligned with GTE’s digital strategy.
Evaluate new tools and technologies and recommend where they add value.
Support enhancements across key platforms including online banking, mobile applications, and lending systems.
Ensure applications are stable, secure, and performant.
Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Maintain proper documentation, testing, and release processes.
Follow and support compliance and security standards (BSA, OFAC, etc.).
