About The Position

Adonis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a technical anchor for a growing backend AI team. The role designs and ships agentic systems for the company’s enterprise AI product, sets engineering standards through hands-on technical leadership, and applies emerging research in production. The position involves evolving services while keeping systems lean, maintainable, reliable, and suitable for enterprise scale. The role is based at Adonis’s New York City office, with in-person work expected at least three days per week.

Requirements

• Formal background in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python and its ecosystem, such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Ability to write elegant, well-tested code, with or without AI assistance.
• Strong systems design skills and hands-on AWS experience.
• Comfort moving quickly in ambiguous situations and communicating clearly.
• Willingness to work in person at the NYC office at least 3 days per week.

• A master's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
