About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer designs, builds, and supports integrations and data work for Longevity’s client programs and internal operations. The role moves, transforms, and reconciles data between systems; builds interfaces and automation; and ensures resulting data is accurate and documented. It also contributes technical expertise to proposals and internal platforms. The current client assignment is the learning data migration for HHS’s move to OPM’s Core HCM platform. The engineer designs integrations between enterprise systems, including REST and SOAP APIs, file-based interfaces, scheduled extracts and loads, and associated error handling and monitoring. The role profiles, maps, transforms, and validates migration and interface data; writes conversion rules; runs conversion iterations; reconciles results to source data; and produces clean, tested, version-controlled code and operational documentation. It protects sensitive data, including PII, under federal security requirements and the client’s authorization boundary. For Longevity’s corporate technology, the engineer builds and maintains internal platforms and automation using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and the Power Platform, as well as tools supporting the delivery framework. The role establishes integration and data engineering practices, including code review, version control, testing, and documentation consistent with CMMI DEV practices. It also writes technical approaches and solution designs for Business and Technology Services pursuits, estimates integration and data work, and assesses solutions for feasibility and risk. On the HHS program, the engineer migrates learning data from the current learning management system to the Learning module of OPM’s Core HCM platform. Working with the LMS migration lead, functional team, and conversion developers, the engineer inventories and profiles learning data, supports assessments and mapping documentation, runs conversion iterations, reconciles records, resolves data issues with HHS, supports cutover and stabilization, and hands procedures over to HHS. The assignment is allocated at 0.55 FTE, including CLIN 1 data mapping and transformation hours.
