About The Position
Island is seeking an exceptional Go engineer to help build its enterprise workspace and agentic control plane, which combines access, security, and AI-powered productivity across devices, browsers, applications, networks, and data. The role focuses on building large-scale, distributed cloud systems and multi-platform software. A strong background in low-level systems and network programming is ideal. Island’s work spans enterprise technologies including antivirus, browser isolation, data loss prevention, and proxies.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience building large-scale, distributed systems in the cloud, such as AWS or GCP.
- Extensive experience developing large-scale, multi-platform software across major operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and topologies.
Nice To Haves
- A strong background in low-level systems and network programming.
- Experience with proxies, VPNs, ZTNA, WireGuard, NGFW, or related technologies.
