About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Belgrade. In this role, you will work on a central cloud-based service within Clarivate’s intellectual property management portfolio, helping customers automate complex workflows and manage IP-related processes more effectively. You will work on a central cloud-based service that supports multiple products within Clarivate’s intellectual property management portfolio. The product helps customers automate complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and manage IP-related processes more effectively across global markets. You will join a supportive and collaborative engineering team with colleagues primarily based in Belgrade, working closely with team members across different locations. The team values knowledge sharing, a strong learning mindset, and a practical approach to solving technical challenges. This environment would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes ownership of their work, and is motivated to contribute across backend and frontend technologies when needed. You will report directly to Manager, Software Engineering.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of relevant software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience with AWS.
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in English

Nice To Haves

Experience with Python
Experience with frontend technologies, preferably Typescript and React
Experience working on cloud-based services used across multiple products

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code in Java and/or Python, in accordance with coding standards.
Contribute to cloud-based services that support key products within Clarivate’s IP management portfolio.
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional team members to build high-quality, maintainable software solutions.
Help improve software architecture, development practices, and procedures with a focus on scalability and reliability.
Stay up to date with technical advances and evaluate tools that could support product and engineering goals.
Automate tests and write unit tests to support application quality and reliability.
Write clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
