About The Position

DoorDash is seeking Senior iOS Engineers to contribute to building and maintaining a large-scale, 24/7 global infrastructure system that powers its three-sided marketplace. This role involves working on an app used by millions and is critical for local entrepreneurs. Senior Engineers are expected to lead projects end-to-end and mentor junior team members. The position offers opportunities to scale mobile infrastructure or build product features, and the company values the integration of new team members' cultures and experiences to improve processes and architecture.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) in the full software development lifecycle, including designing, generating code, testing, monitoring and releasing software.
• Expert at Swift, and iOS SDK.
• Familiarity with networking, storage, and Cocoapods.
• Systems and OOP knowledge.
• Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Work within engineering teams to build exciting features.
• Improve the codebase through continuous refactoring.
• Solve challenging real-time data transfer and synchronization problems.
• Extend and implement APIs.
• Implement unit tests.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards of iOS development.
