Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack
About The Position
Encord is seeking an outstanding experienced engineer to enhance the performance and reliability of their AI data platform. The role involves working on foundational systems, building and extending them with a focus on creating performant, reliable, and maintainable solutions. This position offers a high degree of autonomy and requires end-to-end ownership of projects, from product and architectural decisions to deployment and monitoring. The engineer will work across the full stack, tackling complex domains and immense scale with simple solutions, and will be expected to take initiative, be proactive, and continuously seek improvements.
Requirements
- Significant experience in software engineering.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain multiple systems from scratch.
- Understanding of trade-offs involved in building reliable, performant software at speed.
- Desire for work to have a tangible outcome for people.
- Enjoyment in building complete products, not just software.
- Comfortable moving across the stack.
- Enjoyment of problem-solving and thinking from first principles.
- Readiness to pick up new skills and build quickly.
- Comfort with uncertainty and problems without a predefined clear definition or obvious solution.

- Prior experience with Python and Typescript is appreciated but not required.

- Build and extend foundational systems.
