You take ownership of your work end-to-end, raise the technical bar for those around you, and enjoy mentoring less experienced engineers while continuing to grow your own craft. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4–6 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with solid knowledge of both backend and frontend technologies
  • Strong algorithmic and problem-solving ability
  • Working knowledge of system design and common architectural patterns
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and DevOps workflows
  • Solid experience with service implementation in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with data at scale
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks
  • Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query) and frontend performance considerations
  • Hands-on experience with ES2015+, TypeScript, Webpack, Jest, Tailwind, and TDD practices
  • Experience building responsive, accessible, and visually polished UI
  • Work must be performed within the United States by individuals authorized to work in the U.S. and who are U.S. citizens.
  • Requires working from the Austin office three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Independently design and build scalable, reliable full stack features and services spanning backend and frontend
  • Lead technical design discussions for medium-to-large features and drive sound architectural decisions
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers in an agile environment to scope, plan, and deliver work
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and uphold high standards for performant, maintainable code across the stack
  • Mentor associate and mid-level engineers on technical best practices and help guide their growth
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and security concerns
  • Own features end-to-end — from design and development through deployment and operational support
  • Identify and help prioritize technical debt to support long-term maintainability
