Requirements

7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 5 years operating at a Senior or Staff Engineer level.
Proven success building and shipping customer-facing software products from initial design through production deployment.
Experience working within software-first organizations where engineering is central to the business.
Background contributing to rapidly growing technology companies or organizations known for engineering excellence.
Strong experience designing complex relational database architectures.
Demonstrated ability to build scalable distributed systems running in cloud environments.
Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript in modern production applications.
Strong experience with modern backend technologies such as Node.js and Express.
Frontend expertise using React or similar component-based frameworks.
Experience building GraphQL APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with containerized applications and cloud infrastructure.
Experience deploying and managing applications using AWS and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
Understanding of software reliability, monitoring, automation, and operational best practices.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to AI-enabled product development, experimentation, or machine learning workflows is a plus.
Experience within SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or financial technology environments.
Contributions to open-source software or an active public GitHub portfolio are a plus.
Personal technical projects demonstrating curiosity and craftsmanship are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications used in production.
Build reliable backend services and APIs supporting high-volume traffic and mission-critical workflows.
Architect and optimize relational database models for performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
Contribute to frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks while maintaining strong backend ownership.
Improve infrastructure, deployment processes, observability, and overall system reliability.
Help evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-powered development workflows where appropriate.
Participate in architectural discussions and mentor engineers through technical leadership.
