About the position
The job overview for this role is to work as part of the Customer Technology team to build an innovative frontend user-experience for Imprint cardholders and merchants through the development of mobile and web apps. The mission is to leverage cutting-edge technologies to reinvent banking systems, specifically credit and charge cards. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software, as well as managing project priorities and deadlines. They will also be involved in implementing new user-facing features and optimizing web applications for speed and scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Design and implement new user-facing features in Imprint’s products
- Write client-side code for web-based applications, create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and develop prototypes
- Optimize web applications to maximize speed and scale
- Build scalable systems with JavaScript and React
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to disrupt the banking industry
- Share knowledge through mentoring, code reviews, design document reviews, technical talks, teaching classes, or consulting on projects
Requirements
- Significant experience building scalable systems with JavaScript and React
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with user-interface design
- Ability to learn other coding languages
- Demonstrated ability to share knowledge via formal mentoring, reviewing code, reviewing design documents, providing technical talks, teaching classes, or as a consultant on projects
