Senior Software Engineer - Frontend
About The Position
Deploy is an intelligence infrastructure platform providing access to open-source and proprietary AI models. The Senior Software Engineer - Frontend will help build the user interfaces for Deploy Data and Deploy Enterprise, collaborating closely with designers, product owners, and engineers. The team uses React, Redux, Webpack, ES6, and other modern web technologies to create innovative interfaces and rich user experiences. This role is part of a small, fast-moving team. The engineer is expected to iterate quickly, make software design decisions for product features, and contribute to product decisions. The position offers substantial autonomy and responsibility in a fast-paced AI startup environment. The expected base salary is $160,000–$250,000; compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Stock options may also be offered.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience.
- Expertise in an object-oriented programming language.
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Good grasp of React and Redux, or similar frameworks, and the concepts behind them.
- Ability to create polished web products and sound UX sensibilities.
- Receptiveness to feedback and a commitment to improving skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently with little direction.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborative environments.
- Ability to write understandable, testable code with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Build robust, high-performance, and scalable applications.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to develop user-experience-focused features.
- Participate in product decisions and help set reasonable development deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and work with the team to implement improvements.
- Use OWASP Top 10 techniques to secure code from vulnerabilities.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance and handling relevant to the role.
- Follow policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting information assets.
- Report actual or suspected security or policy violations or breaches to an appropriate authority.
