About The Position

Hudl's Front-End Platform team accelerates web development for our 500+ member product team, and improves the web experience for the 100M+ fans, 315K+ teams, and 40+ sports that use our products. We’re looking for an experienced Engineer with deep front-end expertise to expand the platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll develop and expand Hudl’s front-end platform, making it the standard across Hudl. This includes discovery work, documentation, design reviews, and implementation to ensure a robust, performant, easy-to-use, maintainable, scalable, accessible, and secure platform. You will also maintain tooling, using experience with tools like Vite and Next.js to ensure they are up-to-date and provide a smooth development experience. Additionally, you'll serve as a consultant, leveraging your front-end development expertise and knowledge of Hudl’s platform to support other teams by answering questions, reviewing pull requests, participating in design reviews, and providing feedback on project plans. The company is currently prioritizing applicants who live within commuting distance of their offices in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska, but is open to remote applicants in specific states.

Requirements

Extensive experience developing front-ends with TypeScript and React.
Led or played a key role in the development of large-scale web applications.
Familiarity with design systems and their role in ensuring a consistent, intuitive, and accessible user experience.
Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Understanding of front-end tooling and when to use specific tools.
Experience with modern tools like Vite, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, and Turborepo.
Comfort setting up and configuring tools.
Excited by the idea of advancing the starting line for other product team members by delivering and supporting a solid platform.
