About The Position

Eko Health is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain and evolve the infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment systems supporting its cloud services and mobile applications. The position also includes significant site reliability engineering (SRE) and security operations (SecOps) responsibilities. The engineer will take ownership of AWS infrastructure and CI/CD systems currently shared across the engineering team, help improve deployment and security practices, and serve as an early responder to critical incidents and issues. The work focuses on backend infrastructure and DevOps, primarily using Terraform, while remaining closely connected to backend application development, databases, and APIs. The role supports Eko’s hardware, software, and AI products in human and veterinary health. Early priorities include maturing the deployment pipeline, ensuring cloud infrastructure follows appropriate security processes, and documenting shared operational knowledge through runbooks and system design decisions. The hire will join a team of five engineers reporting to a team lead. The team includes full-stack engineers focused on backend and frontend work, and currently shares AWS, CI, and CD responsibilities. This role will assume ownership of those areas in collaboration with the engineers who currently handle them. The position is remote and involves expected travel of less than 10%.

  • Build self-service tooling and paved paths that enable downstream engineers to ship without infrastructure expertise.
  • Upgrade security and vulnerability scanning in the CI/CD layer and help coordinate triage of deficiencies.
  • Harden the software supply chain through artifact signing, SBOM generation, and properly configured build runners.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams on audits and evidence collection for SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, as applicable.

  • Mentor engineers on operational and secure-development practices.
