About The Position

Four Sea Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in DevOps to define and advance secure, reliable, and repeatable software-delivery capabilities for complex customer programs. This role contributes directly to Four Sea Group’s ability to deliver mission-critical software efficiently and consistently. The engineer will establish and improve technical approaches for continuous integration, continuous deployment, infrastructure automation, containerization, and embedded security while solving difficult problems that affect delivery across software, integration, test, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams. The ideal candidate combines advanced automation and scripting capability with broad experience across CI/CD, cloud platforms, containers, infrastructure as code, and DevSecOps. This role requires independent technical judgment, the ability to create reusable engineering practices, and the credibility to guide others while improving program delivery, reliability, and technical readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically ten or more years of relevant software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or automated software-delivery experience.
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly
  • Advanced experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or comparable technologies.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or a comparable language.
  • Experience automating software builds, testing, security scans, quality checks, and deployments.
  • Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative software-development workflows.
  • Advanced experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable container and orchestration technologies.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or comparable tools.
  • Experience integrating automated testing, code-quality, static-analysis, or security tools into delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and the integration of security controls into software-delivery workflows.
  • Ability to define technical approaches and reusable practices within a complex DevOps or software-delivery environment.
  • Ability to independently resolve difficult issues spanning pipelines, deployments, containers, cloud platforms, applications, networking, and security controls.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs across engineering and program teams.
  • Experience guiding engineers or coordinating technical work across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • All candidates must work in-person in Aurora (no virtual)

  • Experience developing software for U.S. government, defense, intelligence, or other secure mission environments.
  • Experience with automated testing pipelines, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
