About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building innovative data products that help recruiters find the right talent. You will design and implement high-performance applications using Kafka, while collaborating with cross-functional international teams. Working in the Data Products department, your work will directly power AI Search and ML models across multiple markets. This is so important to us. Requirements

Proficiency in coding with Java
Practical knowledge of Airflow or similar orchestration tools
Experience working with Kafka (MSK)
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, and ETL

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS services (e.g. Glue, EMR, ECS with Docker, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Strong communication skills in English (B2+ level)
A passion for data-driven solutions that make a real impact

Responsibilities

Build and evolve data products that serve as the backbone for job listing data across Stepstone’s global platform
Design and implement high-performance data pipelines using Kafka
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data engineering solutions
Manage and improve ETL pipelines and data orchestration across a rich ecosystem of data sources
Continuously improve and scale our data infrastructure to support a growing number of use cases and markets
