We’re looking for experienced software engineers to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care? Learning from the experience of every cancer patient involves building systems that scale, excellent UI, and robust data pipelines along the way. We are looking for an experienced backend or full-stack Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, production-grade systems. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable software across our cloud-based infrastructure. Our team is responsible for mission critical services including our authentication service, API Proxy, and OmcoEMR EHR Service.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience building scalable, production-grade software.
  • You have build backend services on .Net Framework and .Net Core
  • You’ve worked with AWS Cloud (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, SQS etx)
  • You are proficient in C# or other object-oriented languages like C++, Java.
  • You hold a bachelors, masters, and/or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field
  • You have a good understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL
  • You are a strong communicator
  • You seek simple approaches to complex solutions

Nice To Haves

  • You have taken a leading role in delivering complex software systems all the way to production
  • You contribute to open source projects
  • You have experience with React or similar JS frameworks for building data-heavy internal tools
  • You have familiarity with healthcare data domains (e.g., Clinical, Financial, or Research) and an understanding of provider workflows within an EHR

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs
  • Write clean, well-tested, production-ready code
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions
  • Translate requirements into working technical solutions
  • Leverage cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code to streamline workflows and focus on solving complex oncology data challenges.
  • Partner with oncologists, product leaders, and data scientists to translate complex product and regulatory requirements into elegant technical solutions.
